Jade Phoenix is a Kung Fu master, who is able to control his Ch'i and use it to enhance his abilities (e.g. projecting a wave of Ch'i energy or running up walls). He is a sadistic, arrogant, and brutal racist.
He studied at the Yengtao Temple in China, and later murdered the masters after which he destroyed the temple. Worked for the Triads in Hong Kong for while, then left to establish his own criminal empire elsewhere in the world.
Jade Phoenix established himself in Millennium City, where he worked for the local Tongs before setting out to become an independent crime lord.
